A very warm welcome to Wessex Rugby Football Club for the season of 2008/2009. Our motto Semper Audax means "ever daring" and this year we will be!
We are a small, growing, friendly, but ambitious rugby union club based in Exeter and currently playing in the Devon league. Whether you are a visitor, player or supporter you are sure to receive a friendly welcome at Flowerpot Fields and in the Royal Oak, which is our 'clubhouse' we look forward to seeing you.
After a challenging season in 2007/2008 Wessex firsts are looking forward to competing in Devon One. We are confident that we have the players and hunger for a great 2008/2009 season. Wessex RFC are running three teams in 2008/2009 season. 2 Senior men teams and our our Ladies XV.
With the restructuring of the Ladies competition in England, the Ladies XV are now playing in the newly named South West Championship.

Wessex R.F.C. have been in existence now since 1995 and we are proud of our heritage.
On most Saturdays you will find our our first or second teams playing in green and gold at Flowerpot Fields (part of Exwick playing fields, beside the River Exe) . Our Ladies play on Sundays and there are refreshments available at all games.
2008/2009 is an important year for us as we have ambitious plans to develop our own community based clubhouse in Exwick Playing fields, so watch this space for further news on this exciting project.Latest news
