Devon Junior Cup Quarter Final place for Wessex

Wessex have been drawn a bye all the way through to the quarter final of the Devon Junior Cup.  Wessex will play the eventual winners of ties involving Salcombe, Ilfracome, Buckfastleigh and Totnes. For the full draw please click here

FORMER Sidmouth chief Richard Grainger has been unveiled as the new head coach of Wessex.

Chairman Tracey Turner said he had no hesitation in handing Grainger the Flowerpot Fields reins after interviewing him for the role.  And Turner added he believes the appointment will give Wessex the boost they need to bounce back up into Cornwall & Devon at the first attempt.

Turner said: “I was very impressed with him and I think he will do an excellent job for us. “We know it's going to be tough to get out of Devon 1 but we are determined we are going to get back up at the first opportunity and will put everything into it.”
